Doug -

I've been intrigued by the possibilities of Yammer, but have been cautious about proceeding given some of its known shortfalls. And then along comes the following piece, which urges caution about Yammer: http://blogs.msdn.com/aniyer/archive/2008/09/14/yammer-should-enjoy-it-s-5-minutes-of-internet-fame.aspx

- Mary

Mary -

I found the enterprise twitters to be really intriguing. I pushed Yammer on a few people before I left The Firm. I found that I would put lots of status updates in there that I would not bothered putting in an email or otherwise write down. Since the updates were in simple web format it was easy to search and retrieve information.

Have you tried using Yammer or something similar for your group?
